I had a blast last night. A 2 hour concert turned out to last for 4 hours, with beautiful bright lights and great music. How fun it was to find out that The Whitest Boy Alive is actually made up of the same members from the oh-so-great Kings of Convenience. Was bummed that I missed KOC last year while I was away in Cambodia, but I guess I still got to see them, and they were such goofballs with their weird dancing! (Can't wait for Rachel to post pictures up, so I can compile a bunch of them and make a little MGMT album!)
Two more concerts I have to go to - French Horn Rebellion and Hurts. I can't believe Hurts is coming to Singapore! Just last month I was blogging about them and wishing that they'd come to Singapore, and here they are. Hurts is in May and it's 80 bucks, and honestly, I think it's pretty reasonable. As for French Horn Rebellion, I only heard of them last night, and though I can't say that I'm a fan, I instantly fell in love with their sound as they played in the background during intermission. So I YouTubed them and I really like them. Oh, and it's only 32 bucks, so it's a total steal. I could make do without going for FHB, but really, these past couple of weeks have been shit for me, emotionally (what's new right?) and the ability to rock out to live music and forget about all that's going on for that short period of time, it's therapeutic and I yearn for it so much.
